Program should have been rescheduled

On July 16, all of the Chicagoland area was under an air-quality alert. Carol Stream was not exempt from that. Our community pool was closed, the miniature golf course was closed and many, if not all, kids camps were moved to indoors. The Village of Carol Stream, however, went ahead with an outdoor concert for The Troops and a fireworks display from Town Center. How completely irresponsible of the village officials to think that it was fine to further pollute the air.

The wildfire smoke won’t last forever. I’m sure we all could have enjoyed this more had it been rescheduled to another evening
