Voting rights rally Saturday in Arlington Heights

The Chicago Northwest suburbs chapter of Indivisible, Northwest Suburbs Organizing for Action plans to host a rally in Arlington Heights Saturday to spur interest in voting in the upcoming midterm elections.

The rally will take place at the Clock Tower downtown from noon to 2 p.m.

Organizers said the event is inspired by the late civil rights leader and U.S. Rep. John Lewis.

Information tables will be available to provide resources on voting rights, where to vote, mail-in ballots and deadlines.
