Midlothian Road in Libertyville area to close for rail crossing work

Canadian National Railroad will be closing Midlothian Road to through traffic for a week from Route 137 to Peterson Road in Libertyville beginning at 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 15.

The closure is needed to replace the existing railroad crossing, which is scheduled to reopen the afternoon of July 22.

Local traffic will be allowed from Peterson Road to the Prairie Crossing Metra Station parking lot. The detour route is Route 137 to Route 45 to Peterson Road.
