Soar like an eagle
My wife has monitored the development of Luna and Sandy, the young bald eagles from the Big Bear Valley, California, YouTube camera location. She closely watched as Shadow and Jackie, the parents, would nurture and protect the eaglets from the elements and potential surrounding predators in the area. As young eaglets they would chirp for food and continue to grow toward fledgling.
Even in their fledgling state, some keen observations could be made. When a young eagle flies for the first time, it’s a challenging experience. Being suspended in the air away from the nest for the first time certainly would be. My wife observed how the initial and subsequent flights of Luna and Sandy eventually saw them soaring in the air, becoming more proficient.
Her comments made me think of God and how he cares for those who have a relationship with him. He watches over, protects and nurtures us throughout life. He works with us from our youth and helps us transition into adulthood. He’s there when we face unknown moments in life. He’s there when we finally soar over the wind currents of life’s challenges. It brings great joy to God’s heart when he sees us soar in life. That’s not only being a good God, but a good Father as well.
This I know, God is a good God and the devil is a bad devil. Don’t confuse the two. There is absolutely nothing bad in God and absolutely nothing good in the devil. The devil destroys lives, but God builds lives up because of his great love for mankind. This is why it’s so important to have a relationship with him. He only wants the best for us.
