Pay raises demonstrate lawmakers’ corruption

Another week more Democrat corruption. Let’s talk about the automatic raises the feckless state reps, senators and DuPage County Board gave themselves.

State reps and senators now make more than $100,000 a year for a part-time job with medical and retirement benefits for running one of the worst states in the country. Since Gov. Pritzker took office, it is a 60% increase.

The DuPage County Board up until a few years ago before the Illinois flight began, was run by Republicans and was stable. Now with Democratic control, it has become a version of Cook County corruption and follies. The board just decided to vote themselves raises where by 2030 the Chair will make almost $200,000 a year and members almost $62,000 a year. Just what exactly are they doing for this huge paycheck? The board meets two times a month.

After spending a weekend in a neighboring red state with lower taxes, gas costs and better-run services, I can say it is only a matter of time before Illinois will lose another 200,000 people and their tax base.
