Mundelein crash victim identified as Evanston man
The motorcycle driver who was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday in Mundelein has been identified as Evanston resident Jeff Williams, 34.
The crash occurred about 5:25 p.m. Monday on the 700 block of Lake Street, just north of Route 83. Williams was headed north on a Suzuki motorcycle when he collided with a gray Honda Pilot exiting a gas station on the east side of the road.
Williams was pronounced dead on the scene. An autopsy performed Tuesday indicated he suffered fatal injuries in the crash, the Lake County coroner’s office said.
Mundelein police and Lake County’s Major Crash Assistance Team are investigating.
