LGBTQ art club meets July 15 at Des Plaines Public Library

An art club for members of the LGBTQ community and their allies will meet Wednesday, July 15, at the Canvas makerspace within the Des Plaines Public Library, 1501 Ellinwood St.

Gatherings are set to run from 5 to 7 p.m.

People are welcome to bring current projects or just hang out for inspiration. Artists working in any medium — and of any skill level — are welcome.

Participants should be at least 18 years old. Registration isn’t needed.

Additional club meetings are set for Aug. 19 and Sept. 16.
