Des Plaines Public Library wants your photos

The Des Plaines Public Library is hosting a photography contest.

The contest’s theme is “Team Des Plaines.” Entries should depict the city, nature and the community. The contest coincides with the summer reading program. Participants must be 18 or older.

Finalists’ work will be printed in the Canvas makerspace and displayed in the library. Winners will receive prizes.

Up to three photographs can be submitted per person. Entries cannot be altered by or created with generative AI. The deadline is Aug. 1.
