Rain, then rides at Northwest Fourth Fest

A storm closed carnival rides and food booths for a spell Friday at Northwest Fourth-Fest in Hoffman Estates, but the rain cleared in time for families to check out the attractions in the latter part of the afternoon.
The festival continues through Sunday at 5333 Prairie Stone Parkway in Hoffman Estates.
