Two Aurora men facing child pornography charges

Two Aurora men have been charged with possessing and distributing child sexual abuse materials in separate cases, police announced Wednesday.

Dustin J. Rumple, 28, was arrested June 23. He is charged with four counts of possession of child sexual abuse materials depicting a person 13 or younger, and two counts charging possession of child sexual abuse materials depicting a person 17 or younger, according to a news release from the Aurora Police Department.

Police began investigating him in February 2025 after receiving a tip through the Internet Crimes Against Children data system.

Kane County jail records indicate Rumple lives in the 800 block of Taylor Avenue, and his next court date is July 8.

In the second case, Aurora police arrested Renso Palomo, 27, of Aurora. He is charged with two counts of reproduction of child sexual abuse material, four counts of producing child sexual abuse material, one count of disseminating child sexual abuse material, four counts of sexual exploitation of a child, three counts of violation of sex offender registration requirements and one count of violation of sex offender residence restrictions.

Police said they received a tip in October 2025 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, through the Internet Crimes Against Children task force.

Palomo’s next court date is Thursday on a motion to be released pretrial.

Jail records list him as living in the 100 block of Root Street. But the Illinois State Police’s Sex Offender Registry gives an address in the 1000 block of East Benton Street in Aurora.

The registry indicates he was convicted of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a child. The child was 8 at the time.
