College of DuPage welcomes new students with fall orientation sessions

College of DuPage invites new Chaparrals to kick off the fall semester at one of three New Student Orientation sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 11-13, in the McAninch Arts Center lobby on the college’s Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

Students can choose one day to attend and are allowed to bring one guest for an additional information session for parents.

Check-in on each day will begin at 8:15 a.m., with the main presentation taking place at 9 a.m. followed by workshops. After the closing, students can visit information tables run by representatives of various college clubs and organizations. Lunch will be provided at participating food trucks.

The New Student Orientation provides attendees with the opportunity to connect with fellow students, explore COD campus resources, learn tips for succeeding at the college and get a feel for life as a Chaparral.

The New Student Orientation is held at the beginning of each fall and spring semester to help students feel confident as they start their college experience.

The college encourages students to register for classes before attending the event. For additional assistance, students can call Student Life at (630) 942-2243 or email studentlife@cod.edu.
