Mundelein police fishing derby set for July 11

The Mundelein Police Department will hold its annual Cops N’ Bobbers fishing derby on July 11.

The catch-and-release event is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to noon at the University of St. Mary of the Lake, 1000 E. Maple Ave.

Admission is free for children 13 or younger; fishing licenses are required for anyone 16 or older. Fishing poles will be available if your kid doesn’t have one.

Registration isn’t required. Participants should bring picnic lunches.
