Body recovered from Fox River in Elgin

Elgin police are investigating after finding a female body Sunday in the Fox River.
According to a release from the Elgin Police Department, detectives located the person just north of the Kimball Street bridge at about 3:51 p.m. on June 21. The Elgin Fire Department and Kane County Coroner’s office also responded to the scene.
Information regarding the female’s identity is being withheld pending a determination by the coroner’s office.
