Bartlett apartment fire leaves two units uninhabitable
A fire in a Bartlett apartment Saturday night left two units uninhabitable.
However, there were no serious injuries, although two people were treated at the scene.
Bartlett Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of an activated fire alarm on the 500 block of Deere Park Circle at 7:36 p.m.
Crews responded within five minutes but found no visible fire. They did note a strobe activation and began investigating, resulting in an engine crew locating the fire on the first floor.
The fire was under control at 8:12 p.m. after which firefighters continued ventilation, salvage and additional investigation activities.
The four-story apartment building remained habitable except for two units. Damage estimates are not currently available. The fire remains under investigation.
Several neighboring departments assisted, along with the Red Cross.
