Accelerate Climate Solutions, a local nonprofit focused on youth education and community empowerment for climate action, announces two youth-led events this summer in Naperville.

Are you worried about climate change? So are young people in our community. In an interactive presentation, Accelerate Climate Solutions interns will discuss common climate myths and how to combat mis/disinformation to inspire fact-based climate action.

“Youth Voices: Busting Climate Myths in the Digital Age” will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 20, in Nichols Library, 200 W. Jefferson Ave. in Naperville. To register, visit luma.com/qz6cegc2.

On Saturday, Aug. 1, save money and learn more about sustainable living in “Remake The Future: A Repair & Upcycling Event Extravaganza.” There will be free repairs of electronics, clothing, and bicycles, as well as free knife sharpening. Join in workshops to learn repair and upcycling skills. There also will be a craft sale and a bake sale. It will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at First Congregational Church, 25 E. Benton Ave. in Naperville. RSVP via accelerateclimatesolutions.org/rtf.
