Central Bark Aurora-Fox Valley marks first year with ‘Bark in the Park’ event on July 11

Central Bark Aurora-Fox Valley is celebrating its first year with “Bark in the Park,” a free community event dedicated to bringing together local dog lovers, pet-focused businesses and community partners for an afternoon of fun, education and enrichment.

Hosted on Saturday, July 11, the celebration will feature activities for dogs and families, local vendors, pet wellness services and special giveaways for both current and new Central Bark clients.

Guests can participate in an owner-pet look-alike contest, shop locally made dog treats from Treats by William (supporting autism causes), take pet photos at the Time Stops Photography photo booth, get a “doggie BMI” consultation from Hometown Veterinary Partners, and contribute to a donation drive for the Naperville Area Humane Society.

“We’re excited to celebrate one incredible year with the dogs, families and community partners who have supported us from the beginning. ‘Bark in the Park’ is our way of giving back to the community while bringing together local businesses and pet lovers for a fun and memorable afternoon,” said Mike Carter, owner and operator, Central Bark Aurora-Fox Valley.

Additional event highlights include:

• On-site dog wellness services including nail trims, ear cleans and teeth brushing

• A training clinic and showcase led by Central Bark trainer Francesca Soldano

• Pet insurance resources from State Farm

• Fresh pizza from Billy Bricks On Wheels

• Day-of membership specials, including a free 1:1 enrichment session with new daycare membership purchases

• Client appreciation raffle for existing clients and new event sign-ups

It will be noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at Central Bark Aurora-Fox Valley, 4389 Fox Valley Center Drive in Aurora.

Guests are encouraged to bring their dogs (non-retractable leashes required; must be up-to-date on vaccinations)
