Des Plaines Park District hosts ‘Leashes & Lattes’ event

The Des Plaines Park District invites dog lovers and their furry companions to a morning of fun, coffee provided by Scooter’s Coffee at Leashes & Lattes, a free outdoor event held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 20, at Blackhawk Dog Park, 190 E Golf Road, Des Plaines.

This family friendly gathering offers a perfect blend of socialization and play. Participants will enjoy games, activities, raffles and treats for both humans and canine companions, along with local vendors, giveaways and plenty of tail-wagging fun. Complimentary coffee will be available for attendees as they explore the park and connect with fellow dog owners.

“Dogs get to play, humans get caffeine, and everyone leaves a little happier. That’s a win in our book.” Executive Director Don Miletic said. “It’s a chance for neighbors to meet, dogs to play, and everyone to enjoy one of our most beloved outdoor spaces.”

Park district staff will also be on-site to share information about upcoming pet friendly programs, and responsible recreation in Des Plaines parks.
