Stop voting for more of the same

I often read readers’ views complaining about high property taxes in Illinois, the overall cost of living, crying about the Bears going to Indiana, etc. Solving the woes of Illinois can be resolved over time if the voters would elect a Republican governor, Republican mayor of Chicago and a Republican-dominated General Assembly. If not, then it’s going to be more of the same.

Illinois is one of the worst financially structured states in the USA, with the highest pension debt ratio. It is No. 1 or No. 2 in highest property tax, second in gasoline tax and seventh highest sales tax. And to truly ruin your day, Illinois spends billions on undocumented immigrants and asylum seekers. So, to those who vote Democrat year after year, don’t blame Trump for your woes; blame yourself. Oh, if you’re thinking of moving, I do not suggest New York, Hawaii, Connecticut, New Jersey, California or Massachusetts, as they are the highest taxed states per individual in the country. And guess what? They are all run by Democrats.

Shouldn’t business-minded people be running governments and not idealists?
