Prospect Heights man gets 16 years in prison after drugs, weapons plea
A Prospect Heights man was sentenced to 16 years in prison after pleading guilty to federal drug and weapons charges earlier this year.
Efrain Jacobo, 44, was accused of selling meth, cocaine and seven firearms to undercover law enforcement officers in 2024.
Prosecutors said Jacobo also shared tracking information with at least one undercover officer of a truck carrying 150 kilograms of meth.
Authorities searched a storage facility rented under Jacobo’s name in Wheeling and discovered 1.8 kilograms of fentanyl, according to court records.
Jacobo was sentenced late last week, federal prosecutors said Tuesday.
