Fly Our Flag Proudly

Our Nation’s Flag is a thrilling sight as it flies in the wind. Its bright colors and striking design stand for our Country’s land, its people, its government, and its ideals.

Too often, we accept our way of life as the norm. We expect to have these precious freedoms. Too often, we take for granted the sacrifices that others have made so that we may live in peace. Many Americans have died to protect our flag and so we bear it proudly because it represents freedom.

People from all over the world see it as the symbol of hope in a country where the opportunity to worship as one chooses, to live peacefully, and to be able to speak out without fear of reprisals exists.

Unfortunately, more than one aggressive nation has tried to haul it down, only to feel the fury of this freedom loving country. A country who believes in peace and is willing to fight for it.

Our flag has been to many places in defense of those beliefs, like Normandy, Guadalcanal, Korea, and Vietnam and now in Iran. It has traveled to many places promoting freedom including the moon.

Yes, the flag represents our country as a symbol of success so that people from all nationalities, creeds, and cultures can live in peace and freedom.

I cannot help but wave with pride that it stands for America.
