Fermi Community Orchestra presents free ‘Spirit of America’ concert June 14
The Fermi Community Orchestra is hosting its final concert of the season on Sunday, June 14. The “Spirit of America” concert will be at 7 p.m. at Batavia United Methodist Church, 8 N. Batavia Ave. in Batavia. Admission is free.
This Flag Day concert will feature American composers and beloved patriotic tunes as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
The performances are always free and family-friendly. Doors open 30 minutes before the performance. Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The Fermi Community Orchestra, founded in 2018 by Andrea LaFranzo, provides adult musicians of all levels, professional and amateur, the opportunity to explore, learn and play great works of music in a friendly, supportive setting. The orchestra encourages growth in its members' musicianship as it brings the joy of music to the communities of Chicago's western suburbs through its free, family-friendly concerts.
