Lake County seeking residents to serve on ethics commission

Lake County is seeking residents to serve on the county's Independent Ethics Commission.

Formed by the county board in 2021, the commission reviews, investigates and acts on ethics complaints involving public officials. Commissioners are appointed to three-year terms and meet twice a year and as needed to review complaints.

Meetings are at the Lake County Administration Building, 18 N. County St., Waukegan.

Applications are available at lakecountyil.gov and must be submitted by 5 p.m. Monday, June 15. Select the Ethics Commission as the first or second choice.
