Forecasts call for several rounds of severe weather rumbling into the suburbs through Thursday.

The first round could last until about 7 p.m. and brings a threat of damaging winds with gusts exceeding 75 mph.
The second round is expected after 7 p.m. and could last until about 11 p.m. with the potential for more damaging winds.
More storms are expected Thursday with the an 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. window for the first batch. Northern suburbs are likely to be more affected by this storm, meteorologists say.
The second round Thursday is anticipated to last from about 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and could be more damaging. Both systems Thursday could bring tornadoes and other damaging winds, along with hail and the potential for flash flooding.
