Chicago Dogs fall to Lincoln

The Chicago Dogs dropped Game 2 of their home series against the Lincoln Saltdogs 8-6 on Wednesday at Impact Field.

Lincoln got on the scoreboard early thanks to a two-run double from Connor Bagnieski. The Saltdogs went on to add two more runs with one in both the second and fourth innings.

The Dogs had a slow start offensively. A double from Derek Maiben in the third inning was the first extra-base hit and just the second hit of the game for Chicago. Ethan Wilder got a basehit of his own in the bottom of the fourth, setting up a two-run home run by Jaxx Groshans to cut the lead in half. D. Maiben added another base hit later that inning, this time an RBI single that scored Daniel Harris.
