Dogs beat Lincoln to snap losing streak

The Chicago Dogs snapped their five-game losing streak with an 8-7 victory over the Lincoln Saltdogs.

The Dogs took a 2-0 first-inning lead when Gio DiGiacomo hit a solo home run and Daniel Harris followed with an RBI single that drove home Jaxx Groshans.

After Lincoln tied it, Tyreque Reed got the lead back for the Dogs in the bottom of the third with a two-run RBI single that scored DiGiacomo and Ethan Wilder. Harris extended the lead with an RBI single that brought Reed home.

Chicago scored in the fourth thanks to an RBI triple from Wilder that scored Michael Torniero. Jacob Maiben padded the Chicago lead with an RBI of his own to bring Wilder home.
