Police: Suspect in Lombard domestic-related homicide found dead

The suspect in a weekend homicide in Lombard was found dead Sunday in another community, authorities said.

The homicide occurred overnight Sunday in a residential building in the Yorktown area, according to Lombard officials.

An investigation determined the killing to be domestic-related and there is no ongoing threat to public safety, village officials said.

In an update late Sunday afternoon, officials said a Lombard police investigators identified the suspected offender, who was found dead outside of the village.

Based on the evidence collected, investigators do not believe any other individuals were involved, officials said.

Authorities did not identify either of the deceased individuals or provide details on their causes of death.
