Fox Valley Church breaks ground on new worship center

Fox Valley Church in Carpentersville will celebrate a major milestone on June 14, 2026, with a groundbreaking ceremony for a new, larger worship center and expanded children’s programming area.

These additions are meant to welcome even more people from the growing communities nearby. The celebration will take place from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the church’s campus at 37W073 Huntley Road, Carpentersville.

The festivities will start with a 30-minute indoor worship and thanksgiving ceremony, followed by the official groundbreaking outside. Afterward, guests can enjoy refreshments on the east lawn. Construction is set to begin this summer and is expected to finish in fall 2027.

The expansion will add a larger main worship center, a café gathering space, and a remodeled children’s ministry area. These updates will make more room for families to experience community, explore faith, and find a place to belong.

Fox Valley Church is located at 37W073 Huntley Road in Carpentersville, at the corner of Randall and Huntley roads, across Huntley Road from Platt Hill Nursery.

“We love the people in our community, and we are so excited to be better able to serve the needs in our area,” said Pastor Tom Atchison.

“People are looking for a place to be known and a place to belong, and Fox Valley Church can be that place,” said Bob Brogan, chairman of the Elder Board. “We want anyone who is curious to come visit. You don’t have to wait until the building is completed.”

The congregation is known for its diverse and active membership. It offers a thriving children’s program, an energetic student ministry, activities for young adults and single adults, and a strong 55+ community.
