Geneva police arrest man on gun charges

A DeKalb man is facing gun charges in a case investigated by Geneva police.

Austin L. Seeley-Williams, 20, of the 800 block of West Taylor Street, was arrested at 10:37 p.m. May 25 in the 1600 block of West State Street (Route 38), Geneva police announced Wednesday.

He is also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm — no firearm owners identification or not being eligible for one; three counts of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon in a vehicle; and manufacture or delivery of cannabis — more than 10 but fewer than 30 grams, all felonies.

He also faces several misdemeanor weapons, ammunition and cannabis charges and violation of an order of protection charge.

A Glock 22 Gen 4 .40 caliber handgun, which had been converted to a fully automatic weapon with a switch, was located during a search of the trunk .
