Hanover Township Mental Health Board approves new funding to agencies
The Hanover Township Mental Health Board approved several funding requests at their May 26 meeting at the Senior Center in Bartlett.
The board awarded $25,000 in Capital Funding to Marklund to provide medication administration equipment. Residents at the agency’s Wasmond Center in Elgin require 24-hour care, ranging from medical interventions to aid with daily living.
CASA Kane County received $20,000 in Challenge Funding for their Court Advocacy Program. Based in Geneva, this program ensures children in the foster care system have a trained voice advocating for their best interests.
The Mental Health Board meets again at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 6 p.m. at the Township Senior Center.
