Naperville home uninhabitable after fire; $850,000 damages

No one was injured during a late Sunday night fire that left a house uninhabitable in Naperville, authorities said.

Firefighters responded at 11:29 p.m. to the report of a structure fire on the 2400 block of Kingsley Drive.

When emergency crews arrived, they found flames in the rear of the structure, officials said. They also confirmed that all the occupants were out of the home.

After extinguishing the blaze, crews continued to overhaul the site and worked to extinguish smoldering embers, ensuring the hazard was contained, officials said.

Authorities said damage is estimated at $850,000, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
