Volunteers needed for annual Sugar Grove Corn Boil

The Sugar Grove Corn Boil, a four-day community tradition, returns July 23-26, with family fun, live entertainment, and charitable impact/

This year’s celebration holds special significance as the event honors America’s 250th Anniversary with a patriotic, community-centered experience for all ages.

For more than five decades, the Sugar Grove Corn Boil has brought together residents and visitors from across the region for a one-of-a-kind festival rooted in tradition, volunteerism, and hometown pride.

The event continues its mission to promote community spirit, provide fundraising opportunities for local civic and charitable groups, and deliver affordable family fun — all centered around its signature sweet corn.

A Festival with Purpose

In 2026, the Corn Boil is partnering with the American Legion’s Be the One initiative and K9s for Veterans, NFP, supporting veteran mental health and suicide prevention efforts. Attendees can participate by purchasing patriotic light-up items and contributing to fundraising efforts throughout the event.

Four days of family entertainment

This year’s festival promises an exciting lineup of activities and attractions for all ages, including free live music and main stage entertainment throughout the weekend.

There also will be Windy City Amusements carnival; the popular Rock ‘n Roll Car Show on Sunday; a variety of food vendors, craft booths, and local businesses; family activities including games, bingo, and more; the community parade and ceremonies; and the annual medallion hunt and other interactive traditions.

Convenient, accessible and community-driven

The festival grounds are fully enclosed for safety, with free admission for all guests.

Guests can enjoy free parking and shuttle service from designated locations, along with special accommodations for seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.

The event is organized entirely by a dedicated volunteer committee and relies on the support of local sponsors, vendors, and community members. Opportunities to get involved — including sponsorships, vendor participation, volunteering, and donations to the fireworks fund — are available now.

Join the tradition

Whether you're coming for the corn, the music, the carnival, or the community spirit, the Sugar Grove Corn Boil remains one of the most anticipated summer traditions in the region.
