One killed, two injured in Rolling Meadows crash

One person was killed and two people were injured in a two-car crash in Rolling Meadows Tuesday, officials said.

The crash happened at the intersection of Algonquin Road and Magnolia Drive around 4:30 p.m., according to a news release from the Rolling Meadows Police Department. Responding officers found three total passengers across the two cars involved in the crash, one of which had rolled over, the release stated.

One victim was pronounced dead on the scene; the other two were hurt, one critically, officials said.

While the crash is being investigated, Algonquin Road is closed in both directions between Barker Avenue and Route 53. Updates on the status of the road closure will be shared by the City of Rolling Meadows social media accounts.
