Dogs beat Cleburne, snap four-game losing streak
The Chicago Dogs snapped their four-game losing streak thanks to a 9-8 victory at Impact Field against the Cleburne Railroaders.
Jaxx Groshans singled home two runs in the first inning to make it 2-0. In the fifth, CJ Cepicky drove in Jacob Maiben with an RBI double. Gio DiGiacomo singled in Cepicky and Tyreque Reed added an RBI single that scored Ethan Wilder to boost the lead to 5-0.
The Dogs took a 9-0 lead into the seventh inning. Dogs’ starter Steven Lacy pitched six shutout innings. Jacob DeLabio earned the save.
