Naperville kitchen fire deemed accidental

There were no reported injuries in a Wednesday night kitchen fire in Naperville, authorities said.

The city’s dispatch center received a 911 call reporting a possible fire inside a structure on the 0-100 block of Harbor Court at about 7:46 p.m.

Crews found smoke from the rear of the structure and extinguished the remaining fire in the unit. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental, the fire department said in a news release Thursday.

The residence was deemed habitable. Damage is estimated at $10,000.
