Waukegan man charged with sharing child sex abuse materials
A Waukegan man is facing charges of sharing child sex abuse materials after authorities seized multiple electronic devices found in his apartment.
According to the Lake County sheriff’s office, 39-year-old Michael A. Bray was arrested Wednesday at his home on 2600 block of West Cornelia Avenue.
Authorities said they were tipped off to child sexual abuse materials being shared from a device in Bray’s apartment.
Detectives determined Bray was responsible for downloading and sharing images of child sexual abuse involving victims as young as toddlers. He is now charged with 10 counts of disseminating child sexual abuse materials, a Class X felony.
Investigators used specially trained police dogs to locate and recover multiple electronic devices in Bray’s apartment.
Bray is being held at the Lake County jail awaiting trial.
