United Methodist Church of Geneva hosts 70th Memorial Day pancake breakfast
United Methodist Church of Geneva is marking its 70th year of providing hot pancakes and sausage for the local community with the annual Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast on Monday, May 25.
It will be 7 to 11 a.m. at the church, 211 Hamilton St. in downtown Geneva. The church will turn the adjacent city parking lot into a dining room for hundreds of pancake lovers, offering all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, coffee, juice and milk to all ages, rain or shine!
The proceeds from the breakfast will be donated to charities.
“Seventy years of pancakes is really seventy years of people showing up for one another. Since 1835, the church has sought to uplift our community not only with our dollars, but with our hours, our hands, and our hearts,” said Pastor Rob Hamilton of the United Methodist Church of Geneva.
“Our annual pancake breakfast is more than a community tradition; it’s an expression of our calling to serve. I am proud that every dollar of profit goes directly to support organizations making a difference locally and beyond,” Pastor Hamilton said. “I’ll be there serving and cleaning and living out what it means to be the church in action.”
Tickets are on sale at pancake-breakfast-103376.square.site/. Tickets will also be available at the event. Tickets for age 13 or older will be $10, or $5 for children age 3 to 12. Those under 3 eat for free.
Start your Memorial Day off right with a filling breakfast and help your local charities!
