Memon appointed to Des Plaines School District 62 board

Erfan Memon has been appointed to a vacant seat on the Des Plaines School District 62 board.

He succeeds Beth Morley, who cited professional and family obligations when she announced her resignation in March. Morley’s resignation was effective May 15.

Memon will serve on the board until the 2027 election and then can run for the seat.

“I’m committed to doing everything I can to ensure every student in this district receives the very best we can offer,” Memon said in a news release.

The school board made the move Monday night.
