Naperville District 203 students shine at 2026 INCubatoredu Pitch Night

Innovation was on full display at the 2026 INCubatoredu Pitch Night, where the next generation of entrepreneurs from Naperville Central and Naperville North proved that big ideas don't wait for a graduation cap.

After months of late-night brainstorming, market research, and financial modeling, student teams stepped into the spotlight to turn their concepts into reality.

The May 13 event was more than just a competition; it was a massive showcase of talent. Seventy-one startup businesses run by high school students filled the room, offering a glimpse into the future of everything from tech to sustainable goods.

The pipeline of talent clearly starts early, as the event also featured products created by the district's junior high entrepreneurship students, proving that the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well across all grade levels.

While the showroom floor was buzzing, the energy reached a fever pitch on the main stage.

Six high school teams — selected for their viability and vision — vied for the funding necessary to scale their ventures.

Finalists included Run Radar and “wild card” entries Flip Clip and Planet Promise, all of whom demonstrated mastery in marketing, finance, and professional communication.

After a series of impressive presentations and rigorous questioning from the judges, three teams took home the top honors:

Grand champion: Winning the top prize, Plant Pal is on a mission to make plant care simple and enjoyable. Their reliable system ensures greenery stays healthy and thriving, even for those without a green thumb.

Second place: Looped

Third place: KALM

The success of INCubatoredu isn't just a win for the students; it’s a testament to the power of the Naperville community.

More than 100 business partners volunteered their time to mentor these teams, guiding them through the grueling process of problem-solving and pivot-making.

The event was made possible through the generous support of key sponsors: Calamos Investments, Molex and the Naperville Education Foundation.

Through this authentic experience, students didn't just learn about business; they became business owners. As these young entrepreneurs continue to develop their products, one thing is certain: the future of business starts right here in Naperville.
