Kane County election officials honored by League of Women Voters for voter registration efforts

Kane County Clerk John A. Cunningham and Director of Elections Raymond Esquivel received a welcome surprise from the League of Women Voters-Central Kane County.

League Voter Services Chair Patti Lackman, along with some of her registrars, stopped by to pay a visit to Cunningham and his election staff to thank them for their continued partnership with the clerk’s office.

Kane County Clerk John A. Cunningham has partnered with the League of Women Voters-Central Kane County over the years to promote voter registration at various events.

“I am very proud of the relationship between the Clerk’s Office and organizations like the League of Women Voters that engage and educate residents about civic participation. Our office will continue to partner with them, along with local businesses, schools, and community organizations to increase awareness and promote voter education, registration, and participation,” Cunningham said.

In order for a Kane County resident to register to vote, two forms of identification with at least one showing a current residence address are needed to register in-person.
