Join in the first Batavia Community Pride worship on June 14
Welcoming local congregations will be gathering together to celebrate Batavia Community Pride during Pride Month on Sunday, June 14, with “A Church for All” at the Congregational Church of Batavia.
The participating churches are all different in worship style, denomination and theological nuance. But they all affirm that all people are made in the image of the Divine, and that definitely includes members of the LGBTQ community.
The service is open to all, including anyone who may be looking for a safe, affirming place to worship. In a season where there is more prejudice, and the threat of losing more rights, these local churches feel this is the time to stand up and be counted.
The service begins at 9:30 a.m., celebrating with music and love, ending at 10:15 a.m. with plenty of time to join the Aurora Pride Parade which starts at noon in downtown Aurora.
Congregational Church of Batavia is located at 21 S. Batavia Ave. For information, visit congregationalchurch.org.
