St. Emily School Students Compete in National Civics Bee

Eleven students from St. Emily School in Mount Prospect competed at the National Civics Bee Regional Competition on May 7 at the College of Lake County. Only 20 students qualified for the competition based on an essay they submitted in the fall. They showcased their knowledge, critical thinking and passion for civics. Sixth grader Charlisse Gomez advanced all the way to the final round with her exceptional performance.
