South Elgin man charged with possessing child sex abuse materials

A South Elgin man has been charged with possessing and disseminating child sex abuse material.

Sean C. Jayme, 20, of the 400 block of Radcliff Lane, was arrested April 30. A Kane County judge ordered he be detained in the Kane County jail while awaiting trial.

Kane County prosecutors say that between Oct. 21, 2024 and Nov. 18, 2025, Jayme possessed and disseminated multiple videos containing child sexual abuse material, via social media and an instant-messaging app.

The videos depicted children under the age of 13.

He faces seven felony counts of possession and seven felony counts of dissemination.

The case was investigated by the Kane County Child Exploitation Unit, a joint effort of the Kane County sheriff’s and state’s attorney’s offices.

Jayme’s next court date is May 20.
