Two juveniles charged with firing guns in Elgin
Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a report of gunfire early Sunday morning in Elgin.
Elgin police say they responded at 2:17 a.m. to Bowen Court and Regent Street for a reports of shots fired. Nobody was injured.
One juvenile was arrested Tuesday; the other was arrested on Wednesday, police said.
Both are charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm by a street gang member, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and reckless discharge of a firearm and mob action, all felonies.
Both were taken to the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center for detention hearings.
Police did not disclose the ages or sex of the juveniles.
