Naperville Men’s Glee Club explores choral traditions at May 3 concert
The Naperville Men’s Glee Club invites you to “From College Days to Kindred Voices,” a spring concert celebrating the timeless tradition of male choral music.
This performance explores the journey from the energetic camaraderie of collegiate glee clubs to the refined artistry of kindred adult voices.
The program features a diverse and powerful repertoire, including the regal “The Last Words of David” by Randall Thompson, the stirring American spiritual “My Lord, What a Mornin’,” and the evocative contemporary piece “Good Timber.”
From the playful charm of “Blow the Candles Out” to the meditative unity of “Fratres In Unum,” there is something for every music lover to enjoy.
The concert will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 3, in the beautiful sanctuary of Knox Presbyterian Church, 1105 Catalpa Lane in Naperville. General admission tickets are $15, $12 for seniors, or $10 for students. For information or tickets, visit napervillemensgleeclub.org.
Enjoy an afternoon dedicated to harmony, heritage, and the songs that bind us together.
