Rolling Meadows offering mental health first aid class

The Rolling Meadows Department of Human Services will host a free mental health first aid certification class from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 19.

The class teaches participants how to recognize the signs of mental health of substance abuse challenges in adults. Participants will learn how to offer and provide initial help, and guide a person to further resources as needed. Topics covered include anxiety, depression, psychotic symptoms and addiction.

It will be held on the second flood of city hall, 3600 Kirchoff Road.
