Westbound I-88 closed at Route 47 after chase

Police have shut down westbound I-88 at Route 47 near Maple Park for an investigation after a chase.
Illinois State Police said an “extended closure” is expected.
No other information was given.
The Kane and DuPage County Scanner Incidents Facebook group reported that unspecified police had chased someone and that the pursuit ended near Watson Road.
An Illinois State Police Emergency Radio Network dispatch, republished on Broadcastify.com, said police were looking for a suicidal man who was armed with a handgun.
