Get rid of yard waste in South Barrington this week

South Barrington will hold its annual spring brush pickup this week.

The effort is scheduled to run through Friday, May 1.

Residents should stack branches and limbs in piles no taller than 4 feet high and no wider than 10 feet long or 4 feet deep, officials said in a news release. Additionally, cut ends should be placed facing the street or aligned parallel with the direction of traffic to allow for safe loading into chippers.

This service is not intended for full tree removal or lot clearing, officials said. Tree stumps and root balls won’t be accepted.

Yard waste stickers aren’t required.
