AgeGuide to host Advocacy Breakfast Collaboratives to elevate voices for older adults and caregivers

AgeGuide invites elected officials, aging network providers, local partners, and community members to join its upcoming Advocacy Breakfast Collaboratives, a series of community discussions focused on the most pressing issues facing older adults, caregivers, and families across Illinois. A complimentary breakfast will be served at the in-person events.

These collaboratives provide a unique opportunity for attendees to engage directly with legislators, share personal experiences with services, and help shape policies that impact aging services and supports. As our region continues to see growth in its older adult population, these conversations are critical to ensuring that community needs are heard and addressed.

“Advocacy starts with listening,” said Marla Fronczak, CEO of AgeGuide. “These breakfast collaboratives create space for meaningful dialogue between community members and decision-makers, helping us build stronger, more responsive systems of care.”

2026 Advocacy Breakfast Collaborative Dates & Locations:

• Monday, April 27, from 9 to 11 a.m. at York Township Senior Center, 1502 S. Meyers Road, Lombard, hosted in partnership with York Township Senior Center.

• Friday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to noon at Senior Services Associates, 2111 Plum St., Aurora, hosted in partnership with Senior Services Associates.

• Monday, May 4, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. held virtually.

These conversations over breakfast will feature powerful stories from older adults directly impacted by these services. Legislators representing AgeGuide’s eight-county region will be on hand to discuss their efforts on behalf of older adults. The goal is for attendees to leave equipped and inspired to take simple action steps to advocate for policies that support aging well in our community.

Sponsored by AARP Illinois, these collaboratives offer a rare opportunity to engage directly with decision-makers before critical budget deadlines.

Space is limited — advocates should register immediately at bit.ly/2026-advocacy-breakfasts or call (630) 293-5990.
