Naperville wants input on third phase of downtown streetscape work
Naperville planners will gather public feedback next week on the proposed third stage of a multiyear downtown streetscape project.
The city aims to rebuild Jefferson Avenue between Washington Street and Main Street — the block home to Ramsay's Kitchen and La Sorella di Francesca — as well as Main between Jefferson and Van Buren avenues.
That phase is tentatively scheduled to kick off in spring 2027. It calls for utility repairs and upgrades, streetscape updates, complete road reconstruction and pavement work, according to the city. The project also includes pedestrian improvements, new spaces for trees and plantings, plus more outdoor space for downtown businesses.
The city is set to host an open house-style event from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, in Meeting Room C at the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St. City staff and consultants will be on hand to provide project details, answer questions and collect public input.
After the meeting, project information and exhibit boards will be shared online at naperville.il.us/dtprogress.
