U-46 board announces six new administrator appointments, including three new principals
The Elgin Area School District U-46 Board of Education announced six new administrator appointments Monday, including new principals at three schools.
The district, which serves 33,000 students in eleven communities, named new leaders at two middle schools, Kenyon Woods and Abbott, as well as Century Oaks Elementary, for the 2026-27 school year.
Jennifer Reyes will take over as principal of Kenyon Woods Middle School beginning next school year, following the departure of Rebecca Gabrenya. Reyes has served as Abbott Middle School’s principal since July 2024. Abbott will close permanently after the 2026-2027 school year as part of a districtwide facility restructuring.
Jason Krause will take over for Reyes at Abbot, which will serve as a shared campus while Legacy Middle School is under construction. Krause has been an administrator in the district for the past four years and is currently the interim principal at Centennial Elementary.
Century Oaks Elementary School’s assistant principal, Ashley Talip, will take over as principal for the 2026-27 school year following the retirement of Cheryl Frederickson. Talip has been the assistant principal at the school since 2022.
Streamwood High School principal Paige Moran was named executive director of the high school network. She’ll take over the role for the 2026-27 school year, replacing William Johnson. Johnson will be the new assistant superintendent of teaching and learning. Moran has been principal at Streamwood since 2023.
Dr. Jacqueline J. Menoni has been chosen as executive director for the Bartlett Network, beginning with the 2026-27 school year following the impending retirement of Dr. Kyle Bunker. Menoni has nearly two decades of experience in education, including roles as a teacher, adjunct professor, principal and superintendent. She was the area superintendent of Waukegan Public Schools from 2024 to 2025.
Brent Braski was named U-46’s director of plant operations starting June 1. Braski has served as director of facilities for Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 since January 2025 and previously was director of maintenance for Kane County Building Management.
The 90-square-mile district serves families in Bartlett, Elgin, Hanover Park, South Elgin, Streamwood and Wayne, as well as portions of Carol Stream, Hoffman Estates, St. Charles, Schaumburg and West Chicago.
